# Kortijk (B)

The shopping mall 'K' in Kortrijk (B) asked  the Stadsboerderij to work out a concept for a green hotspot on the roof of the shopping mall. Together with  the Stadsboerderij, Laura & Elke we designed this concept of a city jungle/garden/food forest. There would be a shelter/co-work space/classroom surrounded by modular transportable and durable growing units where the people can grow and harvest a multi variety of vegetables, herbs, flowers and plants. There's an educational side to the project involving schools and organisations. And it would also be a peace haven in the ever busy city life. But unfortunately Covid measurements in the mall claimed all the fundings but hopefully this project will see the daylight in the near future.
